IHPCIA is pleased to share that the Government has granted a temporary exemption from QCO requirements for Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) imports until 1st July 2026.

This is significant relief for the Home and Personal Care industry, easing current supply constraints and enabling smoother sourcing from non-BIS-certified sites.

This outcome reflects IHPCIA’s continued engagement with the Government, based on industry inputs and collective representation.

The exemption is for a limited period, and we hope it will be reviewed for a further extension at an appropriate time.
